Hockey Coach Hub ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Stryder, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our platform at hockeycoachhub.com (the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials via our authentication provider (Clerk). We do not store passwords directly.

Player data

Coaches may enter data about players on their roster, including names, jersey numbers, positions, evaluation ratings, coach notes, and goal-setting responses. This data is entered by coaches and is associated with the coach's account and their team.

A note on youth athletes

Hockey Coach Hub is designed for coaches and program administrators — not for direct use by players or parents. Player records are created and managed by verified coaching staff. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information directly to our platform, please contact us at privacy@hockeycoachhub.com and we will delete it promptly.

Goal-setting responses

Players and parents may submit goal-setting responses via a tokenized link provided by their coach. These responses are stored and associated with the player's record in the coach's account. No account creation is required to submit goal responses.

Usage data

We collect standard technical information including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used to maintain and improve the Service.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Generate end-of-season letters and reports using AI
• Send transactional emails (account verification, invitations)
• Respond to support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data. We do not use player data for advertising purposes.

4. Data sharing

We share data only with the following categories of third parties, solely to operate the Service:

• Clerk — authentication and user management
• Supabase — database and file storage
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
• Anthropic — AI letter generation (evaluation data is sent to generate letters; it is not used to train Anthropic models)

We do not share data with any other third parties without your explicit consent, except as required by law.

5. Data security

We implement industry-standard security measures including row-level security on our database (meaning each coach can only access their own program's data), encrypted connections (HTTPS), and secure authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Player records, evaluations, and letters are retained as long as the associated coach account is active. Coaches may delete individual player records at any time from the dashboard.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@hockeycoachhub.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain authentication sessions and improve your experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect functionality.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
